Paul Donald Wight ll is known as The Big Show. He is a professional wrestler and actor. He is shown in WWE, WCW championships. He got the ring name The Big Show when he got fame in wrestling.

Early life of The Big Show

Paul Donald Wight was born on February 8, 1972 in Aiken, South Carolina, in the United States of America. Nowadays he is a resident in Tampa, Florida, USA.

He was born with acromegaly disease which causes the unimaginable growth of the body. At the age of twelve, he reached 6 feet 2 Inches. He weighed 100kg that time. He enrolled in Wichita State University Basketball in 1991. He was 7 feet 1 inches at that time, and his age is 19 years. 

He needed to undergo surgery for his unstoppable growth. He underwent a surgery over pituitary gland. For his body size, he needs a shoe size of 22. Ring size of the big show is 22 and his chest measures 64 inches.

While studying in high school named Wyman King Academy, Batesburgleesville, South Carolina, he took part in basketball and American football. Though he quit football because of some issues created with the coach, he continued to cheer his team. He joined the cheerleaders team as a sophomore.

He attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, he played basketball over there with an average of 14 points. In 1992, he went to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He spent only one year here. Within this one year at Southern Illinois University, he had 39 points for the Cougars in the limited action.

Professional life of the Big Show

To earn money, after schooling, he joined several jobs. He worked as a telecaller, bouncing, and many other works. During his job he was introduced to Hulk Hogan and Big show played informal basketball. This game was used as World championship Promotion for upcoming events.

After noticing Paul’s technique, Hulk introduced Paul aka big show to the WCW’s vice President Eric Bischoff. After this introduction, he need not turn back. His wrestling career took off with great success. He met his idols like Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and many more wrestlers.

In 1995, he first signed with WWE in a ten year long contract on February 9. He was renamed as The Big Show and joined WrestleMania XV. He started his game alongside The rock, Austin. He left the ring because of some disputes over there.

After playing a huge number of wrestlers with WWE, he need to leave the WWE because his 10 year long contract came to an end on February 8, 2007.

Personal life of the big show

Paul Wight married Mellisa Ann Pavis on 14 February, 1997. They had one daughter Cierra Wight. Due to personal reasons, Wight couple decided to separate and finally they divorced on 6 Feb, 2002. 

Paul then tied the knot again with Bess Katramados on February 11,2002. They are happily married these days. They are proud parents of two children.

Paul spent his days supporting the Special Olympic games. In 2014, he joined the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics USA in New Jersey.

He was appointed as the Goodwill ambassador for 2015 Special Olympics World games in Los Angeles. Finally from 2018, he became the Global Ambassador for special Olympics games. 

Legal issues against The Big Show

Paul Donald Wight got arrested by the Memphis Police Department in 1998 for exposing to a motel female employee. Due to lack of strong and full proof evidence, he was released.
