Anna Beth got her popularity after she started dating John Goodman. This power couple met first in 1987 while she was in the university of New Orleans. Goodman met Hartzog in a theme based halloween costume party. John came to the city for a new movie project.
John opted for the role of Lawrence in the movie named Everybody’s All-American while they started dating.
In an interview with John Goodman, he answered that he asked Anna Beth to accept the proposal of marriage, and Anna said yes, while they were spending a quality time on the Mississippi river. They are very much known for their extraordinary bond.
After spending a two year long time with each other, they decided to tie the knot on 27 October, 1989. John was a 37 years old superstar and Anna was a 20 years old young ambitious lady when they came into the aisle.
