Andrew Herr took birth on May 25, 1991. He is from a small town named St. George in Ontario. Until teenage, he stayed in this place. He was born to Susan Nicolson and Lessa Here. His father was the city’s director of corporate relationship. And his mother was CEO of Empire Life. He has two siblings- Ryan Herr, Sean Herr. Herr is very much close with his brothers.
After his 12th standard in study, along with his family he shifted to Kingston. This is also located in Ontario.
While staying in Kingston, he got to know about his interest in acting. He took part in a high school theatre production Never Swim Alone under Daniel Maclovr. This was practiced for the Sears Drama Festival. He started studying at the University of British Columbia. He first got to know Dylan Playfair who became his roommate. Coincidentally, both of them get the role in the Mr. Hockey- The Gordie Howe Story.
Herr was also a good Hockey player. He participated in junior hockey. The first season was with Gananoque Islanders in 2009-2010. Second time he played with Napanee Raiders in 2010-2011.
Herr took part in high school theatre because his fellow friends and batchmates persuaded him. But finally he started his career as a full time actor. In 2013, he played a role of Mark Howe in a Canadian- American television film named Mr. Hockey- The Gordie Howe Story. This movie is based on the great hockey player Gordie Howe, who turned back to hockey in 1973. This television film was directed by Andy Mikita.
At the studies, Herr also took part in a Regi version of La Miserable. He was getting encouragement from a local actor and director Len Whalen at that time. Herr remembered,” He was yet another asset”. “He assisted me with all the auditions for the school productions”. Herr also acknowledged ” Regi was a great inspiration to me. I don’t know if I would have gone into acting if I hadn’t relocated to Kingston”.
Herr pursued film acting at the Vancouver Media Arts Institution. He took a year off from studies to finish his film studies. He thanked the Vanarts, ” Vanarts taught me every fundamental acting technique I’ve ever used. Because many of my teachers work in the film industry, I learned a lot of knowledge about the industry right out of high school, which greatly aided my approach and ultimately helped me get Mr. Hockey”.
He recalled that the audition was based on his acting capabilities. “I auditioned for only the speaking part, and they accepted my word for it on the hockey thing.” He also said,” I don’t believe they were that concerned when they found out I played junior hockey”.
Herr is spotted with a 1970s hairstyle and moustache to go with the role of the hockey brother. He was amazed with the antique hockey equipment while depicting the role in the television film.
Andrew Herr had never disclosed his personal life in the spotlight. In 2014 he started dating a woman named Mikaela. They continued the relationship till 2015, but it was unclear how they broke up or any other personal problems.
Then, Andrew was in a relationship with Soph Sigz for a long time. Though it was not very much clear to the media, Andrew used to post their moments on social sites. Since 2019, Herr hasn’t posted any personal image of them. His followers think that the couple had broken up due to personal reasons.
But as Andrew himself didn’t disclose anything, maybe they are still in a relationship.
